The artist’s interpretation of the architecture of the well known Ayasofya Museum in Istanbul. Mesmerized by the breathtaking beauty of the massive dome, the artist let his mind wander and deviate from the confines of the original image and this abstract representation took shape. Intrigued by the shaping of the cupola, coupled with the reflection of light from 40 windows further fueled this artist’s imagination and spurred the delicate bits of gold highlights.
